MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann interviews a bold and honest physician/pediatrician from the University of Southern California who explains how medical cannabis can be used to treat ADD in children.(via)I grew up with attention deficit disorder, and was prescribed Adderall before even starting middle school. This introduction to chemicals at a fairly young age set me on a path that ultimately led to drug addiction, insomnia, and a past built upon harmful substances. Thankfully, I made it out of that life and conquered my addictions. I am incredibly grateful for the sobriety and happiness that I have today.
I’ve found that, as an adult, marijuana helps me to concentrate better in class and focus better overall. I wonder how things would have been different if my parents had chosen not to resort to chemical solutions in order to help me with my ADD. Perhaps, if they had been able to give me prescribed doses of cannabis instead, my path would have veered away from a life of substance abuse and chemical vices.
So what do you think about this? Should doctors prescribe medical cannabis in the form of edibles to young children with ADD or ADHD?
